Step 1: Submit the 2025-2026 FAFSA

The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and is used to determine your eligibility for federal and state financial aid such as grants, scholarships, work-study, and loans. For the 2025-2026 academic year, the FAFSA will open on or in December 2024. Check studentaid.gov for specific dates and updates.
