Outside/Private Scholarships
Outside scholarships, or private scholarships, are financial gifts intended to supplement the cost of attendance, and are not provided by Baylor. These scholarships are often sponsored by churches, organizations, clubs, trusts, and foundations. We encourage you to pursue these sources of assistance to help with financing your education.
Scholarship Universe
Scholarship Universe is a helpful resource to connect Baylor students to millions of dollars in scholarship opportunities. If you are an accepted/current Baylor student, you can access your account today, and start answering questions to set up a profile. You will be matched with scholarship opportunities in the database tailored to your talents and specific criteria. We recommend you apply for as many scholarships as possible, if eligible, and pay close attention to the stated deadlines.
Alternative Ways to Search
There's no need to pay for scholarship search assistance. You can find a variety of free scholarship search sites using our list of recommendations. For incoming freshmen, contact your high school counselor to learn about any available scholarships in your community. Students typically have a higher chance of winning local scholarships because there’s less competition
Scholarship Reporting
You must notify Baylor of any outside scholarship you receive by completing the Outside Scholarship Report Form. The form closes at the end of spring each year, but will reopen in June for the following academic year. If you need to notify Baylor of an outside scholarship for spring while the form is closed, please submit all information about the current spring scholarship in this form. Your financial aid offer may change based on the outside scholarships you receive; however, reducing your work-study opportunities and loans will be prioritized over any other existing scholarship whenever possible.
