Outside scholarships, also known as private scholarships, are educational awards not provided directly by Baylor. The main sources of these scholarships are churches, organizations, clubs, trusts and foundations. We encourage you to actively pursue these sources of assistance.
There's no need to pay for scholarship search assistance. The web offers a variety of free scholarship search sites.
Scholarship Universe is a helpful new resource to connect Baylor students to millions of dollars in outside scholarship opportunities. Access your account today and start answering questions in a personal questionnaire. Based on your answers you will be matched with outside scholarship opportunities in the database tailored to your talents and specific criteria. We recommend you apply for as many outside/private scholarships as possible.
Also, be sure to contact your high school counselor to learn about scholarships available in your community.
You must notify Baylor of any outside scholarship you receive by completing the Outside Scholarship Report Form*. We may have to adjust your financial aid awards if you receive an outside scholarship, however, whenever possible, we first reduce work-study or loans.
*The Outside Scholarship Report form will open for 2023-2024 academic year reporting in June.
