CSS Profile Tips
Why? The CSS Profile provides a more in-depth evaluation of a family’s financial situation. While the FAFSA focuses on income and family size, the CSS Profile uses other important data such as home value and cost of living expenses, and number in college. This allows schools to more equitably award need-based aid.
Who? Incoming undergraduate students who are interested in institutional need-based aid are required to submit the CSS Profile and FAFSA their first year at Baylor.
Students should continue to complete the FAFSA annually while at Baylor but only need to submit the CSS the first year, unless otherwise directed by the Financial Aid office. If the Financial Aid office needs a CSS after the first year, we will contact you directly and request it.
How? Simply go to https://cssprofile.collegeboard.org/. Starting with the 2022-23 application cycle, the CSS Profile is free to students with family incomes up to $100,000.
